Hardship leaves marks on us. Those marks are not something to hide. They are part of the story of how we grow and change.

This piece comes from reflecting on how the body carries wisdom. When I am around people or situations that feel extractive rather than reciprocal, I feel it physically. It can show up as tension in my back, in my arms, or throughout my body. Over time I have learned to listen to these signals as guidance.

The character in this piece carries visible marks from its experiences, including experiences that wound. From those same experiences, an open hand emerges as an invitation for healing, possibility, and connection.

Growth is not about perfection. Growth is about learning to show up as our full selves.
