This work is part of a series of wood panels that explore the use of textures to create bold portraits. Using linoleum block printing on large sheets of colored paper, I transformed shapes into patterns that form imaginary characters inspired by my culture. The patterns include my drawings of chile, fists, and maiz motifs.
