This piece honors the place where human life begins, celebrating all bodies with wombs as sites of creation and life-giving power, whether or not they choose to give birth. It recognizes the profound transformations of those who do and calls for care, respect, and reverence for that experience. The figure reclines with legs open as a portal of flowers emerges, symbolizing life and our interconnected existence, set against a vast blue sky that reflects our relationship to the universe. Through handmade patterns mapped across the body, I express a deep connection to ancestors and to all living beings.
